The Artist
Zeinab Dandash Tarraf is a contemporary Lebanese painter whose work is rooted in memory, emotion, and the rich cultural landscape of Lebanon. Through expressive color, layered textures, and symbolic compositions, she creates visual narratives that celebrate the beauty of human experience and the enduring connection between people, place, and memory.
Holding a Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the Lebanese University, alongside a Diploma in Law, Tarraf has developed a distinctive artistic language that blends academic knowledge with personal expression. Her paintings invite viewers into a world where art becomes a universal language, capable of expressing emotions beyond words.

زينب دندش طراف فنانة تشكيلية لبنانية معاصرة، تستلهم أعمالها من الذاكرة والوجدان والهوية اللبنانية، لتنسج عالماً بصرياً يجمع بين الإنسان والطبيعة والمشاعر في لغة فنية تعبّر عمّا تعجز الكلمات عن قوله. ومن خلال الألوان الغنية، والملامس المتنوعة، والتكوينات الرمزية، تبتكر أعمالاً تحمل أبعاداً إنسانية وشاعرية تدعو المتلقي إلى التأمل والتواصل مع ذاته.
تحمل الفنانة درجة الماجستير في الفنون التشكيلية من الجامعة اللبنانية، إلى جانب دبلوم في الحقوق، وقد أسهم هذا التنوع الأكاديمي في تشكيل رؤيتها الفنية وإثراء تجربتها الإبداعية. وتؤمن بأن الفن لغة إنسانية عالمية، قادرة على حفظ الذاكرة، ونقل المشاعر، والاحتفاء بجمال الإنسان والمكان عبر أعمال تنبض بالأصالة والصدق.
Artistic Journey
Since the beginning of her artistic career, Zeinab Dandash Tarraf has continuously explored new ways of expressing emotion, identity, and the human experience through painting. Her work has evolved through a series of solo exhibitions, each reflecting a distinct chapter in her creative journey.
Her first solo exhibition, The Clamor of Silence (2018), drew inspiration from the poetic and musical world of Fairouz, transforming memories, childhood, and Lebanese heritage into expressive visual narratives. In A Lifetime Together (2022), her focus shifted toward the emotional depth of human relationships, exploring themes of love, motherhood, memory, spirituality, and resilience through symbolic figurative compositions. Most recently, Flowers to My Mother (2023) celebrated the beauty of Lebanon's landscapes and native flowers, offering a heartfelt tribute to motherhood and the enduring bond between people and nature.
Beyond her solo exhibitions, Tarraf has participated in numerous collective exhibitions and international artistic events across Lebanon, Spain, Monaco, Italy, Qatar, Syria, Egypt, and Tunisia, sharing her work with diverse audiences while contributing to the dialogue of contemporary Lebanese art on the international stage. Throughout this journey, her artistic language has remained deeply rooted in authenticity, emotion, and a profound connection to her cultural heritage.

شكّلت المسيرة الفنية لـ زينب دندش طراف رحلةً متواصلة من البحث والتطوّر، تجلّت من خلالها رؤيتها الإنسانية والفنية في أعمالٍ تعكس الذاكرة، والهوية، والعاطفة، وجمال الطبيعة اللبنانية. وقد حمل كل معرض من معارضها الفردية مرحلةً جديدة في تطور تجربتها، مقدّمًا لغة بصرية أكثر عمقًا ونضجًا.
انطلقت رحلتها مع معرض «صخب الصمت» عام 2018، المستوحى من العالم الشعري والموسيقي لفيروز، حيث تحوّلت الذكريات والحنين والهوية اللبنانية إلى لوحات تنبض بالحياة. ثم قدّمت معرض «عِشرة عُمر» عام 2022، الذي تناول موضوعات المحبة، والأمومة، والذاكرة، والروح، والعلاقات الإنسانية من خلال أعمال رمزية غنية بالمشاعر. وفي عام 2023، أطلقت معرض «ورود إلى أمي»، وهو تحية فنية للأم وللطبيعة اللبنانية، استوحت فيه أعمالها من أزهار تنمو في مختلف مناطق لبنان، محتفيةً بجمال الأرض وثراء تنوعها.
إلى جانب معارضها الفردية، شاركت الفنانة في العديد من المعارض والملتقيات الفنية داخل لبنان وخارجه، في كلٍ من إسبانيا، وموناكو، وإيطاليا، وقطر، وسوريا، ومصر، وتونس، حيث قدّمت أعمالها لجمهورٍ متنوع وأسهمت في التعريف بالفن اللبناني المعاصر على المستوى الدولي. وتواصل من خلال هذه المسيرة بناء تجربة فنية متجددة، تجمع بين الأصالة والابتكار، وتعكس ارتباطها العميق بتراثها الثقافي والإنساني.
